MATTERS ARISING FROM PREVIOUS MINUTES.

Volunteer to prepare in writing a jandal rubber bouy recommendation. MS volunteered.

PF forwarded by email pool noodle bouy design to MS. SEE PICS http://www.nzmpba.co.nz/buoys/

PC has Started a page on the website with photos and description - Ongoing

Venues.

Lake Okaro – JB suggested as a posibility to pursue. Called by to have a look, launching in middle of where we would put the course?

Taupo Offshore – Update JB talked to harbour master and has forwarded forms to Hamilton MBC for application.

Also BH had suggested east end of Lake Rotoiti. Blue Lake would be better says BH.

MS mentioned Dudding Lake (near Marton) as a venue possibility – to follow up and report back. MS been for a look. Has line of drums down centre not a large lake. Weed could be a problem. Where launching ramp is where we would want to stand. Could talk to Horizons RC, needs indication of our intentions (event dates) etc before making an approach. Most likely during colder months when swimming and watersports are unlikely.

BH - Stormwater ponds are a viable option – find them.

Correspondence in

Three more surveys have been returned and a further further 18 have been collected directly by interviewing members at the Marlborough regatta making a total of 30 so far.

Appeal to members to return your survey forms so that committee is better able to consider your interests.

Grahame Haines – Formal application for Nationals at Easter 2022 at the Iron Back vinyard venue Seddon.

Limited accommodation available at lake. Post pic of lake on website.
Visitors on comm that attended QB regatta at the venue are enthusiastic to proceed with organising a 2022 Nats at Easter 15 to 18 April. Feeling among committee was to go for a two day event (Sat/Sun) with days either side allowing travel. Events that will be run will depend on the entries received. The Survey is indicating a heavy support of P1,2,3 Mono/Tunnel/Hydro mix with T1 hydro too.

Committee agreement to proceed with this venue for Nats.
