Can anyone give me a start point for the length of my tune pipe for a 91ASP?

Using a CMB90 pipe.

I think about 300mm 12inches is this close?

Cheers Matt

Yeah start at 12.5inches on that one Matt, loook for nice smooth throttle respnse, shorten the pipe until you lose until the throttle response becomes "all or nothing", or in other words off/on.

Thanks Bob,
Got an email from peter with a different way to measure the length.I am starting with his measurement of 18.7 inches from end of converging cone to exhaust manifold.
Will try out this saturday, club day.

Took the boat to the lake a couple of weekends ago with the tune pipe at 18.7inches. Started boat and threw it in the water. Motor had started in one direction and then turn backwards. When I dropped it in it shot backwards into the dock. The shaft unwound a bit. Managed to start it again and got in one and a half laps before the shaft gave up.
Someone commented that the boat was going well. Yes that was true, however my finger was only just above idle and the boat was going not much slower than when the 61ASP is in it. I am sure that it is going to be a flyer when its repaired.

That sounds encouraging.
